RL Grime Live @ The Boiler Room in LA

An up close and personal view of RL Grime during one of his recent sets in LA. Fool goes hard in the paint.

Porter Robinson – Triple J Mix From Australia!

“kiasfkdasd dope! you guys’ support got me and mat’s new track “easy” to #13 on beatport (main chart) and #6 progressive house after ONE DAY. thank you so much! so to say thanks, i’m uploading my 30 minute mix i did on Triple J the other day. sorry i don’t have it in higher quality. it contains some dope treats.” – Mr. Robinson, himself!

Plug in your headphones, turn up and don’t you dare touch that play/pause button for the next 35 minutes. Porter was so stoked that his new jam with Zo went from #13 to #6 on beatport, that he graced the world with this masterpiece. We’re still listening to it…so come back for a more updated review, but for now: Enjoy!

Borgore & Carnage Dropping Kennedy Jones Trap Remix of “Suavemente”

At 25 seconds, Elvis Crespo‘s voice (similar to that of a Latin Jesus) comes on….

SUAVEMENTE…..BESAME!

This song has apparently been floating around Borgore sets since part of the STM team saw him in Puerto Rico on our last spring break trip…But we’ve seen him 2 times since then and never heard it. Whats up Borgore?!… Well clearly he did his research before vising Puerto Rico. “Suavemente” originally by Elvis Crespo, a Puerto Rican-American Grammy and Latin Grammy award winner is a Puerto Rican classic! Go ahead and ask your your closest Puerto Rican, Mexican or Latin homie. Never would have though the genres of Trap and Merengue would be combined…But holy shit was was I wrong. Mind=Blown. Apparently the trap remix is originally by Kennedy Jones an upcoming trap artist who is performing with Borgore and Carnage this weekend in LA. The STM team really should be in attendance, but unfortunately we have some very big things coming for STM, so we will be busy at work in San Diego.

I’d just like to finish off this post with a shout-out to Christian for absolutely killing it on jams these past couple days while the rest of the team has been hard at work!

Showtek & Justin Prime – Cannonball (Carnage & Victor Niglio Festival Trap Remix)

IMG_9121

^^^^^^^          See that bad boy… That was my iPhone. I thought it would be a great idea to record Dj Carnage’s entire set last weekend so I placed my phone and his dj deck while I was getting down front and center. Never seen again 😦

Thank you Dj Carnage! You made us wait, but as always its worth it. This song was released on his Festival Trap Mix a while back, but hasn’t officially been released until a few hours ago. This should give you a little trap fix for the day. Taking “Cannonball” and turning it into a “Grenade” of trap. This beat is heavyy. Make sure you got the bass cranked up and are ready to blow your head!

Bare – Altitude

Bare, otherwise know as Sean Rodela, DJ and producer of FILTHY-ASS DUBSTEP is about to blow you mind with this song. Altitude really is the perfect name for the newest filthiest dubstep song (on August 15th at least.) I didn’t know what to expect at first, but as the song starts you’ll know right away….

Just take a listen, your about to freak out and break something

Skorby – Laser Destruction

Holy Shit….

This little guy is only 16 years old, coming straight out of LA, and he’s killing it.

Starting off with something rather orchestral, then hitting us with heavy electro-house beats he gets us ready for takeoff. He brings the bass in slowly…so turn up your speakers and prepare to get  LAZERD! (is that a word?) Reminds me a little of Knife Party’s – Destroy them with Lazers, but with different genre undertones. Took me a few times to really appreciate the song. But when when you consider the fact that this kid is probably younger than you, no shit can be talked.
